Jewelry Elements

“Minal” jewelry is exquisitely designed with some combinations of various precious & semi-precious gemstones, pearls, natural wood, Swarovski Crystals, Venetian glass, Murano glass, horn, Czech glass, lamp work and hand-blown glass. We use Gold fill & Sterling Silver for our findings/wires. We do use some alloy and nickel free alloy as well. Gold fill has multiple times more gold than gold plating. It is a thicker layer of gold pressure bonded to a base metal. It does not flake off or rub off or discolor. All of our earrings are made with gold fill and sterling silver earring hooks, for sensitivity reasons. We have included clear earring backs with every pair of earrings. We recommend you use earring backs every time, so as to not lose your fabulous one-of-a-kind jewelry.


Jewelry Care

To keep your jewelry in great condition, we recommend you take extra care so you can enjoy your fabulous jewelry for a long, long time. We don’t want you to lose your earrings, as earrings have a tendency to pop out.  Please use the clear posts when wearing your earrings so you can always enjoy them, included with every pair of earrings.

How to keep/store the Jewelry

After wearing the jewelry, wipe it down with a soft cloth before storing properly in the box it arrived with.  Make sure that each piece is stored in separate boxes so they do not scratch each other.  Keep your jewelry in separate boxes or separate them with enough padding to avoid contact with anything else.  Place necklaces in a flat smooth spiral if it is too big to fit in a single oval shape.  This will spare the cord from bending and help keep the delicate elements from being damaged.

What to Avoid

Make sure to put on your jewelry after hair, makeup and perfume have been completed, so as to not have the jewelry contact any chemicals, which could damage the jewelry.  Avoid jewelry contacting any sort of water, soapy water (dish washing & bathing), salt water, chemicals such as chlorine, products with fuel gas, cleaning and other detergents, so as to not tarnish your jewelry. Some dyed natural materials are in danger of bleaching out when lying out for some time in the U.V. rays during daylight hours on sunny days.

Cleaning

If a piece of jewelry needs a cleaning, be cautious and do a bit of research on how to clean it, especially care of natural stones, pearls and other precious gemstones.  Be gentle with anything you use to clean the jewelry.  Cutlery cleaner will damage your jewelry pieces and abrasive cleaners will scratch it and reduce the longevity of the jewelry.

Repairs

(We will not do repairs unless it is delivered damaged to the customer).


Packaging

“Minal” handmade jewelry orders arrive in a luxurious subtle iridescent mocha brown box, completed with a hand-tied ribbon, ready to go.  Your purchase arrives with a card, includes an artist biography & how to care for your jewelry.

Can’t decide on which piece to send, just send a gift certificate.  Upon your request, we can also include personalized handwritten Minalcard, just let us know.

Minal” Gift Certificates can be used on our website.  Each gift Certificate card is personalized and comes presented inside one of our luxurious signature boxes. Your beautifully packaged gift certificate will be shipped to anywhere in the world.

Minal” Loyalty Card – As a way of giving a little something back, when you purchase any of our pieces from our website, you will receive one of our loyalty cards. With our loyalty card when you purchase six “Minal” pieces, you receive a $50 voucher for www.minaldesign.com towards the next piece in your collection.  Just our little way of saying thank you!


Shipping

Orders are shipped within 5 days.  Your parcel will be shipped by registered post to you.  Upon ordering, you will receive a unique tracking number so you can check on your parcel, on the postal service website, as it journeys its way to your doorstep.

Return Policies

We offer an exchange or refund if you decide to return your oder within 14 days of purchase.  If you have received your “Minal” jewelry piece as a gift and do not have a receipt, we will be more than happy to exchange your piece for another in any one of our collections, within the price of the gifted item.  If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know through our Contact Us page.


Order Issues

Missing Item

We package and ship everything ourselves from California so we take the utmost care in putting your order together exactly how you want it.  In the unlikely event that there is a missing item from your order, please first contact us right away via email at minaldesign.com and we will send the missing piece to you.

Faulty Item

Due to the nature of handmade, though rare occurrence our jewelry may have a mistake or may have been damaged through the shipping process.  Should you receive a faulty piece, please contact us right away via email at care@minaldesign.com and we will take your order details & provide you with instructions on how to return your order.  We will try to rectify the problem and send out the same piece to you.  If we cannot replace/fix the faulty item, we will be  happy to exchange your piece for another in any one of our collections, within the same price or refund you.

If you decide to select only the piece you ordered rather than replacing it for another necklace:  You will need to return the jewelry piece within 7 days after receiving the parcel, for it to be repaired.  We will repair the piece using the same element or close substitute for the damaged element.   If the jewelry’s focal piece is a one of a kind element which is damaged and needs to be replaced, we will not be able to replace the jewelry piece with the exact piece, since it is a one of a kind hand-made element.  We will do our utmost best in creating a unique jewelry piece utilizing the most complimentary replacement element of equal value or more value.

As all of the items are individually assessed and any repairs are carried out by hand, we advise you to allow us 2-6 weeks from receipt at our studio for repairs to be carried out.

Refund/Received your returned item

Once we receive your jewelry item return, we will contact you to let you know it has reached out studio and we will begin the process of getting your refund/exchange to you.  Please allow 10 – 15 working days processing time for your refund/exchange.

Amending Order

If you contact us, (by email to care@minaldesign.com), immediately after placing the order online, we will do our utmost best to amend your order before it is shipped out.

Incorrect Item Received

Please contact us right away by email to care@minaldesign.com with your order details and we will provide you with instructions on how to return your order at no cost, and we will send out your correct piece as soon as possible.

Canceling an Order

If you have made a mistake when placing your order online, please contact us right away by email to care@minaldesign.com We will help you resolve it.
